Inspiration

“We shall draw from the heart of suffering itself the means of inspiration and survival.“
- Winston Churchill

Inspiration is a fickle thing. It catches us off-guard during unpredictable moments, and can be elusive when we need it most. It fills us with purpose and drive, and can often strike in strange ways.
The inspiration to create, the inspiration to better ourselves. To take better care of our bodies, to spend more time with friends and family, to cook yourself a tasty meal.

The inspiration to live.

I have recently undergone the most devastating change to my life thus far, and it has my mind reeling in a million directions. Now and then, between the mental storm clouds, the bright warm rays of radiant inspiration peek through.

It it has brought forth the question to the front of my clouded mind -
what inspires you?

Inspiration Highlights Top Left:   I have a collection of pigments (that are primarily used with nail polish, by why stop there?) that are absolutely dazzling - multichromes & holographic & sparkles, oh my! They shift in the light, which get my mind flowing like crazy! Bottom Left : Little beings on wings, flashing with the colours of the rainbow. This Blue Morpho sits in my studio, the iridescent scales of its wings are always a vibrant source of inspiration. Right : Shadows are a fickle beast, always changing and transforming with the passing time and light. They can sooth harsh edges with softness, or add a defined contour to a delicate image.
