(Beast of Burden)
The tiger is a common theme amongst Asian cultures, used to represent one of the twelve Zodiacs. Power, courage and strength radiate from the magnificent striped beast, making it a suitable symbol of worship.
This tiger painting serves as my play on classical portraits of the greats, complete with metallic paint to add an air of nobility and royalty. The swirling floral patterns are reminiscent of ancient Chinese textile designs.
The warm rust-tones of the tiger's fur are complimented by rich purple and copper, which help to radiate an air of royalty and power.
